This is an excellent opportunity to join a global shipping company based in Glasgow.

The Marine Cadet Officer is part of the crewing team and is responsible for the implementation and delivery of the cadet program.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance with the cadet policy and procedure.
• Involved in cadet recruitment projection and planning based on a number of factors including retention, planned growth, promotions etc.
• Conduct company presentations to intake regions
• Oversee cadet intake process including but not limited to screening process, interview, assessments and allocation of vessels.
• Ensure screening and technical interview questions database is reviewed and updated
• Administer onboarding of successful applicants into Marine HR Crew Management System and carry out initial document checks
• Arrange flight/travel arrangements and issue relevant documents for embarking vessels and confirming receipt with the cadet

Experience Required:

• Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and excellent communication skills
• Familiar with maritime industry regulations and seafarer certification
• Previous experience of recruitment (preferred)
• Demonstrates analytical, problem solving and time management skills
• Can set priorities and provide accurate reports in a timely manner
• Ability to work proactively and multitask
• Respond positively to customers in an effective manner
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Must have right to live and work in the UK
