Team Leader (Composites) – Permanent – Oxfordshire – £40,000 pa

Navis Consulting have an opportunity for an individual with a ‘hands on’ approach to lead a team through the process and production of superyacht ribs and tenders. Based just outside Oxford our client wants a unique individual with the drive to deliver a high quality service to join their team and develop in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• To Maximise the productivity of your team within the processes of gel coat spraying, skin coating and main lay-up to meet key deadlines
• Organise your team, set daily objectives to increase productivity workflow
• Train staff with processes and techniques when required
• Making sure tools and equipment are maintained and scheduling essential tooling and liaising with Tooling Prep
• Ensure documentation and tracking of information is completed such as temp, humidity and material batch control numbers
• Attend regular meetings and reporting to ‘Composite Manager’ to organise activities, plan production, new part/process introduction and scheduling new tool manufacture
• Liaise with ‘Technical and Quality’ department for constant improvement to documentation, process controls and components
• Reporting of teams holiday and sickness and monitor productivity
• Liaise with all departments working closely to make sure HSE and other company policies and procedures are met and correct use and storage of PPE.

Experience Required:

• Gel Coat application (hand gel and spray)
• Mould tool preparation and application of release systems
• Hand laminating and knowledge of closed moulding techniques
• Process control experience and Team Leadership experience in similar working environment
• Attention to detail and problem solving with the ability to communicate instructions
