Graduate QHSE Advisor/QHSE Assistant (Marine Consultancy) – Permanent – London – Competitive

A leading global marine consultancy is currently recruiting for a Graduate QHSE Advisor/QHSE Assistant to join the team in the London office.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, key responsibilities will include;

  • To assist with the roll out, implementation and ensuring compliance of company policies, procedures, guidance and instructions with the business unit.
  • To assist with the management of compliance to ISO9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO45001/ HSE legal and other requirements are observed throughout the business unit.
  • Assist with effective roll out and implementation of Quality, Health, Safety and environment (QHSE) policies and procedures as communicated by the company QHSE Director / Regional QHSE Manager.
  • Assist with ensuring HSE legal compliance for the business unit.
  • Assist in QHSE adherence and performance monitoring, co-ordinate safety meetings, management reviews, assist with the preparation of QHSE system internal and external audits, plan and undertake customer feedback surveys.
  • Assist in follow up and close out audit actions, corrective and preventive measures, opportunities for improvement and areas of concern.
  • Assist Bid Leaders and Project Managers with the preparation and implementation of Contract Reviews and QHSE Plans when required.
  • Assist in ensuring the required QHSE Induction and other safety training are delivered to all staff / subcontractors and records of this maintained up to date.
  • Assist in implementation of regional objectives and timely reporting of QHSE KPI’s to the QHSE Manager and Country Manager/General Manager.

 

The ideal candidate will have a Technical Degree (or equivalent) and have QHSE Internal or Lead Auditor Training or equivalent audit experience in marine and offshore industry.

You will have experience in, and knowledge of, Quality & HSE practices and procedures, current legislative requirements and experience with QHSE systems, procedures and practices

The successful individual will be self-motivated, committed and energetic, be a concise and clear report writer, an innovative thinker and contributor and a strong team player.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications

Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
