Job Description as Project Planner with Stork:

Coordinate the planning and scheduling of work activities across Integrity Services contracts and projects to ensure that project delivery needs are forecasted and planned to meet client and Stork’s business goals. This role will support both On and Offshore assets and the Asset Integrity Business Unit.

Tasks and Responsibilities as Project Planner:

Project Plans and Progress Reports

  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules with Primavera P6.
  • Liaise with the delivery team to develop the project plan and review interdependent tasks.
  • Review and update plan/schedule to optimise project duration.
  • Forecast scope completion dates and manning levels throughout the project phases.
  • Review manning requirements and attend POB meeting to ensure the plan is executed efficiently.
  • Liaise with the contract delivery team and offshore personnel on a daily basis to update plan and progress tracker.
  • Revise planning based on information from the project delivery team (I.e. changes, growth to scope).
  • Identify, report and provide advice for problems faced executing the plan, for example resources, over runs, delays, clashes etc.
  • Interface with the other business functions to assist the planning process.
  • Produce and distribute weekly an updated project plan, asset and progress report.
  • Support regular planning reviews, client meetings, kick off meetings, tenders and close outs.

Continuous Improvements & Development of Planning Department

  • Assist in continuous improvement within the Planning department.
  • Assist with the development of the WBS as required.
  • Participate in the review of existing departmental procedures and delivering where necessary new proposals.
  • Assist with coaching and training of the less experienced in the planning team.
  • The planner will support the delivery of the planning function across the UK & Africa business, whilst adhering to departmental and contractual procedures in line with Company standards.

Specific Requirements for Project Planner:

Education & Experience

Essential

  • A good level of education commensurate with the role, for example; attainment of standard grades including English and a numerical subject, attainment of NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Desirable

  • Project planning training in P6
  • Experience in Primavera P6

Experience

Essential

  • Expert level of planning experience within similar roles
  • Expert knowledge of IMS, IT-systems, contracts and project management processes.
  • Demonstrate a practical knowledge of project planning, tracking & reporting and project management.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of UKAS Accredited Inspection Bodies and ISO 17020:2012

Additional Requirements 

  • Offshore travel as required
