Barge Master

Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a Barge Master to work on a 120mx42m unpowered rock barge. Candidate will be managing all aspects of the vessels safe and efficient operations, such as direct port tugs and pilots from a command positions when entering and leaving port.

Duration - 5 weeks, could lead into long term work over the winter
Location - Baltic Sea
Day Rate - £290
Start Date - Sunday 17th October 2021, completing a 14 day in depth hand over before starting
UK COC/FSE required

Must have previous experience working on a range of flat-top or multirole barges
Construction, offshore or project cargo experience ideally
Previous experience working as Master/Mate on Tugs, coasters or small bulk carriers ideally
Previous experience of loading Coasters, small bulkers or Barges with Ballast systems and be able to manage and execute a ballast managed loading-plan.
