Electrical Watch Keeping Engineer job in UAE

We are currently recruiting Watch Keeping Engineers on a permanent basis for projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, have a good level of experience and 3 years sea-going experience.

Cutter Suction Dredgers experience is preferable.

DESCRIPTION OF KEY RESULTS AREAS OF DEPARTMENT:

To ensure efficient Electrical Engineering, Repair and Maintenance Services in order to provide the company with electrical equipment in a state of optimal availability for production and minimal downtime.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In accordance with the Chief Engineer ensure optimal and safe performance of all vessels by operating and maintaining the dredger in the most effective way, focused on the electrical aspects.
In accordance with the Chief Engineer, execute the electrical maintenance schedule and spare parts requirements in accordance with plan and electrical specifications.
Report on work done/performance, issues and preventative maintenance requirements to Chief Engineer on a day-to-day basis and report to electrical superintendent for specific electrical related activities.
Advise on and ensure the execution of basic and instant electrical repairs onboard. Ensure optimal capacity and minimal downtime according to the electrical design.
Report to superintendents on the day-to-day performance of electrical parts of the dredger; escalate if necessary to the Electrical Superintendents in order to minimize downtime.
Actively monitor if the HSE requirements are observed in the engine room and report on it to the superintendent and inform the chief engineer. Follow up on QHSE reports/recommendations if needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Electrical Engineering Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent professional qualification.
Navigation licence (STCW)
Environment techniques is an asset.
