Crane Operator – Permanent – Portsmouth

The successful candidate will be an experienced Crane Operator who will monitor, supervise and maximise the utilisation, productivity and performance of resources (staff and machinery) related to the Crane operation and the associated working areas.

You will be responsible for all aspects of crane operations and maintenance of safety of the crane whilst in operation and the immediate operational areas on the quayside’s and vessel’s lifting and landing points.

You will be required to undertake safety related training when requested to do so.

The successful candidate will have or be able to demonstrate previous achievements in the following areas:

• Must hold all Crane training/certificates required for Crane operation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Hands-on approach and attitude to work.
• Ability to calmly prioritise and manage a varying/large workload.
• Ability to supervise and motivate staff to achieve operational targets.
• Good use of IT, including excel and word.

This role is working 40hrs per week with on call duties. A competitive salary is offered, along with an excellent benefits package.
