Technical Superintendent (LNG) – Permanent – London – Excellent package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable shipping organisation based in London. They are currently recruiting for a Technical Superintendent to manage a fleet of LNG carriers. Although based in London they do offer a hybrid working model (days in office / working from home)

Responsibilities will include:

• Development of vessel-operating budgets
• Working on longer-term projects for example planned maintenance systems and capital projects; Dry Docks and major repairs
• Providing support in all aspects of ship operations
• Carry out regular risk reviews for vessel operations and ensure appropriate actions are taken
• Analysing the nature and root cause of any serious breakdown or damages
• Review monthly OPEX costs against budget & report on any deviations
• Coach and develop Masters, Chief Engineers and direct reports ashore

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Must have sailed up to Chief/2nd Engineer on LNG Carriers
• Have Steam & Motor experience
• Must have understanding of cargo containment system & cargo handling equipment
• Have deep understating of the propulsion plant on board vessels managed
• Previous shore based experience is preferred but would consider an experienced LNG Chief Engineer looking to move ashore.

Ideally you will have the right to live and work in the UK but may consider sponsoring a visa for the ideal candidate.
