Training & Recruitment Manager – Permanent – Glasgow – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global shipping company based in Glasgow.

This position is responsible for seafarer training, recruitment and cadet requirements for sea staff who are managed from the Glasgow office.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a strategic overview of Marine HR in collaboration with Fleet Personnel Manager.
• Scheduling of Training courses in liaison with Training Officer.
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual training, recruitment, and cadet budget in co-ordination with Regional Offices.
• Monitoring training budget expenditure on a monthly basis, providing updates to Vice President.
• Quarterly forecasting of training, recruitment, and cadet expenditure.
• Implementation and maintenance of Recruitment platform for Marine HR to support the growth strategy.
• Ensure global alignment of training and recruitment procedures.
• Prepare and implement new building training plans and matrices as approved by Fleet /Vessel Managers.

Experience Required:

• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent administration skills
• Ability to respond and engage positively to customers and seafarers in an effective manner.
• Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of business processes and functions.
• Familiar with industry regulations.
• Knowledge of Marine Training & Certification legislation and requirements.
