Chief Electrician - Hospital Ship

We are currently looking to recruit a Chief Electrician to join our client's Hospital Ship.

Role:

This is a 3 months voyage contract.  A competitive salary is also offered.

Experience Required:

You must have at least 6 months at sea as a Chief Electrician.

Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

• Maintain and routinely inspect electrical machinery, equipment, distribution, and lighting systems
• Direct electrical department in daily maintenance and repair tasks.
• Plan for and oversee installation of new equipment
• Notify Chief Engineer in the event of any breakdowns or issues that affect the vessel and its personnel
• Responsible to maintain and test the fire safety panel and all associated electrical equipment
• Prepare electricians duty roster
• Plan and report work in Company planned maintenance system

Essential Certification:

• Certificated Electrician
• Has successfully completed Basic Safety Training in accordance with STCW A-VI/1-1 to 1-4
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English in both written and verbal forms
• Full, clean driving license is required and must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit.
