Navis Consulting have entered an exclusive partnership with a well-established shipping company to source a new Marine Superintendent based in an idyllic part of the UK. The company were established 100 years ago and operate a mixed fleet of vessels. They have new vessels on order which should be built and delivered in the next few years.

Responsibilities Include:

• Overall responsibility for the companies ISM and DSS systems.
• Fulfil the role of DPA and CSO.
• Manage the vessels crewing requirements.
• Marine new build projects.
• Conduct vessel inspections and audits.
• Oversee the docking of vessels within the drydock.
• Manage the drydocks health and safety requirements.
• Liaise with 3rd party stakeholders.
• Work with the Senior Management team to drive continuous improvement across the group.
• Prepare and manage assigned budgets.
• Provide marine expertise for company owned vessels.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a marine superintendent, ideally with some passenger and general cargo experience.
• Previous experience as DPA and ISM auditing.
• Strong inter personnel skills.
• Hold a valid STCW unlimited masters CoC. Lower tickets will be considered if the candidate is strong in other areas.
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be prepared to live in the South West.
