Joinery Designer (Marine) – Permanent – Northamptonshire – £Competitive +Benefits
Joinery Designer (Yachts) required for a globally renowned manufacturer of luxury motor yachts. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the New Product Introduction joinery design team, working within the Design and Engineering office. You’ll be producing detailed assembly and production drawings to support all current New Product Introduction projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for: –
Working within the Design Studio team delivering multiple upcoming new products.
Producing 2D joinery drawings to required production/CNC level, from detailed 3D assemblies, installation drawings through to component parts.
Understanding of materials and design standards.
Communicate directly with the design team to ensure the intent is suitable for manufacture.
Liaising with the Production team and other departments within the business.
Candidate Experience: –
Degree level qualification preferable
Prior joinery/cabinet experience preferable
3D CAD software – Proficient in Siemens NX
Experience with Teamcenter PLM desirable
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of yacht production techniques and processes would be beneficial.
