Dry Cargo Hold Manager

At ARM Maritime, we are looking for a shipping professional who has expertise in all types of dry cargoes and the vessel's hold cleaning process during a voyage to join a large ship owner and operator based in Dubai.

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Close cooperation with Chartering department on vessels suitability and cost estimate for cleaning ex various cargoes.
• Ensure Idle time for cleaning is none or minimal
• Maintain budgets and forecasting
• Risk assessment and creating cleaning inventory (hardware and chemicals)
• Maintain partnerships with suppliers
• Negotiate rates and contracts with external venders
• Manage orders and deliveries
• Reporting on hold cleaning and vessels suitability for cargoes (clean/dirty)
• Identify areas where more extensive hold cleaning and maintenance can be done most economical.

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to maintain honesty and integrity at all times

Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Skilled in managing large vessels and planning
• Networking
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience in hold cleaning
• Computer literate
