Marine Superintendent (Tankers) - Permanent - London - Competitive

A leading shipping company with a global presence is recruiting for a Marine Superintendent to join the team in London.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is primarily responsible for;

• Management of Ship Operations, Safety and Health
• Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation
• Monitoring processes needed for the quality and environmental management system are established, implemented and maintained
• Acting as Deputy Designated Person Ashore and Deputy Company Security Office (if appointed by the GM)
• Prevention of Marine and Air Pollution
• Navigational Information
• Information for Laws, Conventions and regulatory requirements
• Cargo information and plans
• Insurance matters
• Audits of vessels
• Other tasks, as directed by the General Manager.

The successful candidate will have sailed as a Master Mariner on Oil or Chemical Tankers and have shore-based experience within a similar position.

You will have excellent written and verbal English skills, have strong inter-personal skills and be a good team player.
