Accounts Assistant (Maritime) - 1 Year FTC - London - Competitive

A leading LNG shipping company with a global presence is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join the team in London on a 1 year fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is primarily responsible for; 

• Dealing with any supplier payment queries and investigating overdue payments
• Setting up new suppliers after verification form approved on database and dealing with system queries.
• Updating of finance system to ensure supplier/customer contact/bank information is correct
• Conducting monthly meeting with Finance Manager relating to supplier reconciliations
• Completing payments as required & Sending out Outstanding invoice list twice a week
• Helping with corporate accounts such as bank recs, Accounts payable and receivables.
• Data Processing, filing and photocopying duties as required. 

The successful candidate will have strong accounts payable experience and a broad understanding of accounting principles. Experience within a Shipping company is advantageous. 

You will have excellent communication skills, have strong attention to detail and be a team player.

You will also have excellent IT skills.
