Vessel Manager AHTS/PSV - Aberdeen UK

On behalf of our client, a major offshore shipping company who operate advanced vessels worldwide, we are looking for an experienced Vessel Manager to be based in Aberdeen. The Aberdeen team have extensive maritime and offshore experience and are looking for someone to complement the team.

Job Responsibilities:

A Vessel Manager is responsible for a dedicated group of vessels and leads the vessel management teams. These teams consist of Technical Superintendent, HSSEQ, Crewing, Purchaser, ICT and the Senior Officers on board the vessels. In addition, the Vessel Manager has the responsibility to deliver vessels to clients in accordance with the contracts, keep the vessel OPEX as forecasted and profit & loss responsible.

Required Competence

• •Extensive marine knowledge, preferably with previous experience as a Maritime Officer on PSV and/or AHTS vessels, or 5 years relevant experience.
• •Familiar with IMCA, OVID and CMID.
• •Higher Maritime or Technical education.
• •Experience in handling client relationships and client follow up.
•  Capacity to understand Charter Parties.
• •Good skills in typical office ICT tools.
