Job description

Job Description as Legal Counsel with Stork:

Provide all-round and specialized legal advice, all within rules and legislation and (commercial) objectives and policies of Stork, in order to minimise legal risks for Stork and to optimise the global legal position of Stork in line with its business interest.

Tasks and Responsibilities as Legal Counsel:

Contract Development & Execution

  • Identify and reporting risks and propose mitigating actions
  • Assist during negotiations
  • Match legal risks with insurance policies
  • Monitor and control legal policy (risks) during development, negotiation and execution of  contract (internal & external)
  • Create and promote legal awareness in the organization
  • Managing the overall contracting process for the benefit of executing projects and long term service contracts
  • Review, drafting and negotiate contracts in line with Stork’s policies and requirements

Monitoring Co operations

  • Monitoring and provide advice on any co-operations for the benefit of executing projects and long term service contracts.

Claims & Disputes

  • Manage claims which are filed against or by Stork
  • Align and coordinate all internal Stork stakeholders and liaise with the external lawyer

Specific Requirements for the Legal Counsel:

Education & Experience

Desirable

  • LLB / Master degree in Law
  • Contract Law expertise
  • Commercial awareness
  • Group law preferred
  • Some PQE expereince
