This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Chemical Tanker Ship Management company based in their Constanta office.

As Marine Superintendent you are responsible for a fleet of designated vessels to ensure vessels are at all times ready to perform in accordance with pool and/or TC terms and conditions and is kept on the highest company and industry standards

Responsibilities include:

• Daily follow up on all vessels’ marine related performance and requirements,
• First point of contact [together with TSI] in case of vessel’s operational stoppage due to breakdown.
• Preparation and assurance of selected ships and shore based management for customer vetting and assessment.
• To assist, implement and monitor established methods to ensure that the ships and shore based management are prepared for the vetting inspections continuously, with the objective of being accepted by customers after vetting and TMSA audits.
• Preparation and assurance of selected ships for Port State & Flag State inspections. To assist, implement and monitor established methods to ensure that the ships are prepared for the vetting inspections continuously
• Responsible for preparing Oil major Questionnaires and preparing related information soonest after being requested. Including after office hours
• To prepare, execute shipboard inspection in order to ensure that all crew is properly trained, motivated and coached with regards to company, national and international regulations.

Experience Required:

• Minimum Chief Mate STCW Reg. ii/2 Unlimited (Master Mariner Unlimited preferred)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Captain or Chief Officer on chemical tankers
• At least 1 year experience of working ashore as marine/vetting superintendent
• Must have a high level of commitment in order to meet the demanding workload and long work hours
• Ability to work under pressure and 24/7 availability
• Must be fluent in English (written & verbal)
• Must have the right to live and work in the EU
