Master Mariner Surveyor (Consultancy) – Permanent – Turkey – Competitive

An established Marine Consultancy firm with offices throughout Europe is recruiting for a Master Mariner Surveyor to join the dynamic team in Turkey.

Reporting to the Head of P&I, the responsibilities will include;

• Survey of vessels, port structures and equipment - as well as dry bulk, liquid cargo and containers;
• Investigation of marine accidents, pollution incidents and damage cases;
• Written reporting (in English), presenting technical and general information and material gathered during the survey in a simple, complete and objective manner;
• Regular written and oral communication with insurers, shipowners’ representatives, port operators, agencies and cargo owners;
• Coordination with in-house surveying and claims team within the region;
• Coordination with Group Operations and Technical Heads in Greece for Technical and Operation matters;
• Frequent traveling within Turkey, infrequent traveling abroad;
• Promoting company services in the marine industry including visiting clients and participating in industry activities.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Surveyor/Marine Consultant or shore-based experience in Operations or Marine/Cargo Superintendency.

You will have sailed as a Master Mariner or Chief Officer onboard ocean going vessels and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Due to client requirements, you must speak English and Turkish to be considered for this role.
