Marine Engineer Surveyor (Consultancy) – Permanent – Turkey – Competitive

An established Marine Consultancy firm with offices throughout Europe is recruiting for a Marine Engineer Surveyor to join the dynamic team in Turkey.

Reporting to the Director, the responsibilities will include;

• Performing marine technical surveys onboard vessels, ports, shipyards and workshops within Turkey;
• Investigation of the failure of marine equipment;
• Assisting Insurers, Shipowners, Marine Superintendents with recommendations concerning local repair options;
• Compiling precise written advice and reports and submitting these to clients as survey attendances progress.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Surveyor or shore-based experience in the Technical Department of a Shipping company, Classification Society or a Shipyard.

You will have sailed as a Senior Engineer (Chief or 2nd Engineer) onboard ocean going vessels and have a Bachelors’ Degree (or equivalent) in Marine Engineering or similar subject.

Due to client requirement, you must speak English and Turkish to be considered for this role.
