Vessel Operator (LNG) – Permanent – London – Excellent package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global energy company based in London. As Vessel Operator you will operate a global fleet of chartered LNG carriers.

Responsibilities Include:

• Post-fixture (agency, port, bunker procurement, heel management, ship-shore compatibility coordination)
• Performance monitoring and reporting; performance claims management
• Communication with vessels, vessel owners/operators, shipping teams of trading counterparties and terminals and other shipping stakeholders
• Close cooperation with Trading and Technical desks
• Support of Integrated Maritime Operations System (IMOS) and interaction with Back Office teams globally

Experience Required:

• Office-based experience in Shipping Operations with an oil major or a trading house handling LNG vessels (advantageous) or other types of tankers (oil, product, chemical and/or LPG)
• Sea-going experience on tanker vessels as a junior officer (advantageous)
• Language skills: fluent English, Russian (advantageous)
• Knowledge and experience in IMOS (or similar), SAP and MS Office
• Able to work in a fast-moving environment under pressure
• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) (Maritime Studies – advantageous)
