Permanent and rare opportunity with leading vessel management company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage both planned and unplanned maintenance of managed vessels.
  • Ensure planned maintenance system is maintained and drive improvements in both the system and vessels maintenance.
  • Plan and oversea dry dockings of company vessels,
  • Prepare and manage technical projects as required.
  • Prepare and ensure vessel budgets are met within areas of responsibility.
  • Be active in maintaining ISM system requirements for vessels,
  • Regular visits to the vessels whilst in port and also willingness and ability to take short voyages on the vessels.
  • Ability to react quickly and ability to travel at short notice if required.
  • Regular condition reports on vessels to owners and internally
  • Liaison with owners on a regular basis

Experience required:
  • Sailed up to the rank of Chief/2nd Engineer
  • Previous shore based experience as Technical Superintendent (highly desirable)
  • Strong budgetary experience required
  • Ro-Ro experience an advantage.
  • AMOS & good IT skills (Office 365/Excel etc)
  • Dry docking experience is required
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK
Qualifications required: Hold a Chief/2nd Engineer Unlimited license
