Project Service Buyer (Marine) – London

My client is looking for a Project Service Buyer to join their team in London. In this position, you will purchase all marine services related to cable installation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the sourcing strategy for each project to ensure KPIs are reached including saving, payment terms optimization, on time delivery, quality and HSE.
• Ensure proper make or buy strategy is in place
• Support tactical procurement sourcing strategies
• Screening of the ecosystem of suppliers to ensure competitive bidding
• Optimal usage of negotiation tools such as e-procurement (e-Rfx, e-Auctions )
• Ensure “Preferred” suppliers’ approval & utilization
• Contracts management (writing, negotiation, signature, archive, claim support, template evolution)
• Ensure PR/PO are validated prior to any work starts
• Ensure Supplier Risk Assessment (SRA), Supplier Business Review (SBR), Score Card are being performed and used
• Ensure HSE Suppliers qualification and compliance with local legal rules
• Ensure proper Supplier training is being performed if required

Requirements:

• Experience with servicing the marine industry or telecom cable installations
• Background in purchasing, contract forming, supplier risk management, supplier strategy in commodities, contract variation, supplier dispute, supplier introduction and financial risk analysis.
• Capability to support cross projects between different teams
• Stakeholder management
• Change management capability
• Very good oral and written communication
• Good Knowledge on Microsoft Office 365 including Excel
• Ability to Multitask on multiple projects

This is not a managerial position and we are looking for someone that is a quick learner and is looking for a long term career. Applicants must also have a contract writing experience.

Applicants must be living close to London or be able to relocate at their own expense. This is not a remote role.

Applicants must also be living and have an existing right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship.
