Job description
To assist in the day to day running of the Cooperheat Services workshop and heat treatment equipment flow.
This role assists in the delivery of a full range of practical heat treatment services to clients through the maintenance, storage, packing and despatch of heat treatment equipment.
The role holder is required to be flexible in their approach to shift patterns, overtime and factory based work in either planned activities or within emergency, reactive responses to client requirements.
1. Provides Maintenance Services for Heat Treatment Equipment
- Repairs, upgrades and maintains a variety of heat treatment equipment as necessary to support the provision of Cooperheat services;
- Carries out minor fabrication work to support the Fabrication department.
Result: Enables Cooperheat services to be delivered safely within agreed timescales and with adherence to agreed processes resulting in satisfied clients.
2. Responsible for the despatch of Heat Treatment Equipment
- Prepares equipment for despatch (to other Company locations, site, offshore etc.) ensuring correct equipment is provided, necessary checks have taken place and paperwork is completed;
- Loads and unloads despatch vehicles in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Result: Increased client satisfaction through the safe, professional delivery of heat treatment services and equipment
3. Manages Heat treatment Equipment Storage
- Manages ready to use equipment storage;
- Manages quarantine equipment storage;
- Ensures safe and compliant storage of all heat treatment equipment with clear segregation between ready to use and quarantine pieces.
Result: Increased client satisfaction through the delivery of heat treatment services using only safe and compliant equipment.
4. Create a safe and compliant working environment.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for own behaviour and working environment in line with HSEQ policy and procedure;
- Ensure self-compliance with all company and statutory procedures and standards including any defined recording and reporting requirements;
- Report any non-compliance, unsafe act or environment to line manager.
Result: Safe and compliant behaviour and working environment for everyone.
5. Remains flexible to the needs of the business
- Undertakes reasonable ad-hoc or routine duties as directed by line manager.
Result: Achieves a flexible business model able to adapt to changing environments.

Education
- Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard
- CCNSG Safety Passport
Experience
- Clear understanding of Heat Treatment processes
- Familiar with heat treatment equipment and its repair/maintenance
- Experience working in a role committed to HSEQ policy and procedure
Additional Requirements
- Driving licence required? No (but beneficial if presented)
- Offshore travel required? No
