Maintenance Engineer (Cranes) – Permanent – Portsmouth

Maintenance Engineer (Cranes) required to join a leading cargo services and stevedore service based in Portsmouth.
The role will join both the workshop material handling and crane maintenance teams who ensure that all MHE and cranes are available to use as required and that they meet expected lifetime of asset and conform to statutory regulations. This role is responsible for periodic inspections of MHE and cranes and related equipment, informing the manager of required work/parts to order/damages/required repairs and ensuring that compliance records are maintained and completed. This role is also required to assist with electrical and mechanical maintenance when required. The role will include joining an on-call rota with the other crane engineers and at times supporting the MHE team out of hours or on call.

Interested candidates should be able to demonstrate previous achievements in the following areas: –

• Knowledge of mobile harbour cranes, preferably Gottwald/Terex/Konecranes.
• Relevant electrical qualifications and experience in relation to mobile harbour crane electrical equipment.
• Experience of repairing general mechanical handling equipment
• Experience of working at height and using MEWP’s.
• Current clean driving license.
• Able to manage deadlines, work as an individual and part of a team.
• Computer literate including Microsoft office applications.

This role is working 40hrs per week with on call duties. A competitive salary is offered, along with an excellent benefits package.
