Job Description as Technical Sales Manager with Stork:
To lead the internal sales team in providing a comprehensive sales service whilst also leading the innovation team to ensure the Cooperheat equipment range is pioneering and market leading.
All employees may be required to undertake differing or additional tasks to those detailed within this job description, on the proviso that they are within the reasonable skills, experience and knowledge of the employee.
Task and Responsibilities as Technical Sales Manager:
Internal Sales
- Responsible for managing customer base in accordance with the relevant procedures and oversees customer base as a whole
- Plans and distributes work activity of Internal Sales team, responsible for the output and quality of the Internal Sales team and its output
- Advises customers and internal colleagues on technical specifications and individual requirements
- Delivers standard/technical equipment and services quotes, ensures all open quotes are followed up and closed on CRM system in timely manner
- Closely liaises with the wider Sales and Production teams to ensure deadline achievement and effective planning of work
- Assists with development of strategic and operational plans
- Maintains the Internal Sales Forecast
- Internal sales data analysis and reporting
Customer Relationship Management
- Development of new relationships with targeted clients to accelerate growth of customer base
- Maintenance of existing customer relationships to generate business
Technical Authority
- Provides technical solutions based on customers individual technical requirements
- Assists non-technical colleagues and customers as required
- Keeps up to date with products, competitors and relevant legislation
- In conjunction with wider Sales team, engages in business development activity
- Advises on sales, supply chain and manufacturing issues where appropriate
Innovation
- Lead focal point for all Cooperheat innovation projects and activities
- Manages allocated innovation resources to provide best value (of time, resource, budget)
- Maintains awareness of industry, competitor and technological advancements
Remains Flexible to the Needs of the Business
- Undertakes reasonable ad-hoc or routine duties as directed by line manager.

Specific Requirements for Technical Sales Manager:
Education
- Engineering based degree (or equivalent qualification)
Experience
- Demonstrable senior sales and executive level management experience, ideally within a global heat treatment business environment
- Thorough heat treatment industry knowledge and experience (products and services)
- Experienced in the design and delivery of innovation projects
- Strong, confident communication skills
