Market Analyst (Tankers) – Europe – Permanent

I am currently working with a leading shipbroker who are looking for Market Analysts to join their various EU offices.

As the Market Analyst your role will be to primarily support the ship broking business, providing invaluable analysis of the shipping and oil markets, as well as the global and local events that help shape them.

The Market Analyst’s day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Gathering, processing, and analysing data from a large number of sources
• Sophisticated modelling of supply and demand developments
• Production of reports with both a short and long-term focus
• Generating and distributing daily reports for clients,
• Briefing brokers on market developments,
• Researching and presenting bespoke findings to clients,
• Addressing conferences and satisfying the research needs of many stakeholders.

To qualify for this role as Market Analyst you MUST have worked in the container or dry bulk market within a similar role for roughly 3/4 years . You will have a proactive approach to data and information management and a keen eye for the small details. From your previous experience you will be technically proficient in excel to a high standard.
