Engineering Technician

We are looking for an Engineering Technician for our leading client in the Marine industry. This is a fixed contract position for 12 months with the possibility of a longer term position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To monitor and ensure the material state of vessels and equipment.
• To update technical records as required.
• Responsible for enforcing any safety precautions in regards to equipment.
• The Engineering Technician is also responsible for conducting weekly rounds of machinery in harbour, making decisions of the operation and maintenance of the equipment and bringing to attention any issues.

The ideal candidate for the Engineering Technician role will have an excellent understanding of Royal Navy Warships processes and waterfront activates. They will have a minimum of an ONC qualification, preferable within marine engineering, ideally with experience of RN LPDs.
