Cable Jointing Engineer/Fibre Optic Jointer – Greenwich + Global Travel – £43,000 – £48,000 + Benefits

A market leading organisation are currently recruiting for an experienced Land Cable Installation Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

To be a successful applicant for this position you must have excellent hands-on cable jointing experience, as well as the abiltiy to perform accurate and details reports and surveys.

Working within the busy Marine Department the Land Cable Installation Engineers duties will include the following.

• Joint and test land cable, and installs and tests system earths.
• Produce “Scopes of Work” for installation including Land Route Diagrams. Writes detailed technical Methods of Procedures
• Design Land Cable and System Earth installations and defines the implementation.
• Plan individual projects within the project budget, project planning targets and cost management.
• Liaise with customers or customer’s representatives about the planning.
• Identify suitable local resources and manages local subcontractors.
• Conduct site surveys including earth resistivity measurements and produce reports
• Test un-repeated system, both on land and at sea.
• Complete H&S Risk Assessments and applies strictly H&S procedures and rules.
