Environmental Regulations Technical Analyst – Southampton or Enfield – £24,000

An exciting opportunity to join the largest global supplier of voyage solutions for the maritime industry has recently become available. They are looking for someone to help research, develop and maintain their in-house database of maritime environmental regulations to increase market share and to answer technical enquiries.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible to the Team Leader to ensure the quality, accuracy and development of the Enviro Manager product.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy and development of the regulations database
  • Quality & Assurance of all environmental regulations entered
  • Research, manage and maintain existing content to ensure it is up to date with the latest maritime environmental regulations
  • Monitor new and upcoming regulation changes
  • Analyse regulations, policies, guidance documents and data
  • Implement new regulations into the system
  • Prepare written documents and presentations to summarise and explain complex environmental regulations and policies.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants will have a maritime or environmental background, or other relevant experience (such as a related Degree or relevant shore-based experience).
  • Applicants will need to show an understanding of the environmental regulatory requirements for ships, large yachts and ports around the world (for example, IMO MARPOL regulations), or the ability to rapidly familiarise themselves with it.
