Marine Quality Assurance Superintendent (LNG) – Permanent – Qatar – Competitive Package
An internationally renowned organisation with the world's largest fleet of LNG vessels, is recruiting for a Marine Quality Assurance Superintendent to join the team in Qatar.
The main responsibility of this position is to ensure that marine quality standards, current practices and procedures meet or exceed the requirements of the customer, the company and the flag state.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Conducting internal audits onboard and ashore to verify that vessels continue to comply with company safety standards
- Remaining abreast of new regulations, practices and developments in the shipping industry and initiate steps to update company SMS
- Leading Fleet incident investigation to determine Direct and root causes in order to prevent recurrence
- Spreading awareness about SHEQ amongst the employees and ensure that there is complete involvement of all employees
- Monitoring department risk performance on a regular basis and intervene when goals are not being met
- Implementing approved divisional policies, processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have sailed as a Master Mariner onboard LNG Vessels and have extensive previous shore-based experience in a similar capacity.
Experience of working in a role wherein support had to be provided to the company DPA will be preferred.
You will also have experience of conducting TMSA audits and have good understanding of emergency response procedures and practices.

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
