Commercial Analyst (Tankers) – London – Permanent

I am currently working with a leading shipping company who are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join their team in London.

As the Commercial Analyst your role will be to primarily be to provide invaluable analysis of the shipping and tanker markets, as well as the global and local events that help shape them.

The Commercial Analyst’s day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Gathering, processing, and analysing data from a large number of sources,
• Sophisticated modelling of supply and demand developments,
• Production of reports with both a short and long-term focus,
• Generating and distributing daily reports for clients,
• Briefing brokers on market developments,
• Researching and presenting bespoke findings to clients up to board-level,
• Addressing conferences and satisfying the research needs of many stakeholders.

To qualify for this role as a Commercial Analyst you will need to have worked in a similar role for roughly 1-2 years within the shipping or banking sectors. You will have a proactive approach to data and information management and a keen eye for the small details. From your previous experience you will be technically proficient in excel to a high standard, as well as this knowledge of either Microsoft Power BI, SQL, VBA is a strong advantage.
