We are seeking a suitably qualified person to join our team of lecturers to plan, deliver and assess nautical training at all levels up to HNC and HND courses in Nautical Science. This will include delivering both theoretical and practical training to a wide variety of students including school pupils, fishermen and merchant navy cadets and officers.

Applicants should have a minimum of a UK Officer of the Watch (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (STCW II/1) or equivalent plus relevant seagoing experience and knowledge of the legislation affecting merchant ships.

The salary will be between £28,784 and £41,844 depending on qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate must be eligible to take up immediate employment in the UK, must pass an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland Check and will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme) or undergo a PVG Scheme Update; a PVG self-declaration form (available below) must be completed as part of the application process.
