Temp Marine Engineer (Yachts) – Middle East

We are recruiting on behalf of a Yacht Management Company who are looking for a Marine Engineer, land based. Please note this role is temporary but may lead to extensions or even permanent.

You will be based ashore and you will be part of a large fleet of yachts & tenders. You will be directly involved with various facilities and their operation.

Experience and attributes required:

• 3-4 years of Marine engineering experience to provide technical and mechanical trouble shooting and repairs to various types of marine engines
• Leadership experience supervising a team of 3-4 younger engineers
• Strong knowledge of gearboxes
• Strong knowledge of Marine electrics.
• General boat maintenance and repairs.
• Ideally boat yard experience, especially on the repair side of tenders or boats from the shore side leisure industry.

Qualifications required:

• STCW with PSA
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (with 6 months’ validity)
• Seafarer’s Discharge Book
• Vaccination booklet including Yellow fever vaccination
• Male only due to accommodation arrangements
• Non-smoker/no visible tattoos

Salary and conditions:

• Starting Mid-August finishing end of October 2020
• 4000 – 5000 Euros per month paid all year round
• Flights and Hotels included

Please note COVID testing will have to be undertaken before departure and 14 day quarantine period in hotel before joining the Operation.
