Purchasing Officer - Permanent - London - Competitive Salary
A leading LNG shipping company with a global presence is recruiting for a Purchasing Officer to join the team in London.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this position is the main Purchasing contact responsible for a dedicated number of assigned vessels.
Other duties will include;
- Raise and send RFQs
- Ensure requisitions are correct prior to sending RFQs
- Evaluate submitted quotations for compliance
- Verify and approve vendor invoices
- Arrange shipments in a timely, cost efficient and scheduled manner
- Assist Senior Purchasing staff as required
The ideal candidate will have previous Purchasing experience ideally within Marine industry. You will also have experience in using Purchasing software, Excel, Word and other Microsoft packages.
You will also be a team player, have the ability to deliver quality and intuitive solutions and have a good time management skills.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK to be considered

Work Experience Requirements

Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
