Piping Manager (Shipyards) – Permanent - Middle East – Excellent Package

One of the Middle East’s leading shipyards is currently recruiting for a Piping Manager to join the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Yard Manager, this position will manage the delivery of Piping fabrication (workshops) and installation (vessel/project) strategy and services.

Other key responsibilities will include;

• Overseeing execution of daily operations, making sure production cycles are met from part design to fabrication.
• Monitoring and reporting  on  the  availability,  utilisation  and  maintenance  of  equipment  and  tools,  including  the calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment
• As the head of the Piping Workshop, co-ordinating closely with Project Managers to ensure fabrication adherence to specifications and timely delivery of installation and repair services
• Working closely with QSA to implement quality assurance and control practices to both prevent and detect defects

The successful individual will have extensive relevant working experience in the Marine (ship repair/conversion/new building/offshore/onshore) industry, with a proven track record of working within a Managerial capacity.

A Diploma or a Degree in Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and a Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 3 (Motor ship) is essential.
