Vessel Manager (FSRU) – Permanent – London – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading shipping company based in London.

The purpose of this role is to anticipate and drive safe and flawless performance of assigned vessels’ operational requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan dry docks and repairs
• Development of vessel budgets
• Coach and develop Masters, Chief Engineers and direct reports ashore
• Reporting technical and operational issues appropriately
• Ensure all statutory and class certification remains valid and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards
• Monitor results of all vetting inspections and other internal or external audits
• Review monthly OPEX costs against budget to date and report on deviations
• Drive improvement in vessel purchase and parts supply activities

Experience Required:

• Have experience as Chief Engineer / Gas Engineer on FSRU
• Hold a class one unlimited CoC (Preferred)
• Some shore-based Superintendent experience (Highly desirable)
• Have a deep understanding of technical operations and propulsion plant for the vessel types managed.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• A desire to drive continuous maintenance and operational condition of companies’ vessels
• Must have right to live and work in the UK
