At ARM Maritime we are exclusively hiring on behalf of a leading Fuel Supplier/Trader who are looking to expand into Asia and require someone to join as Managing Director of Bunkers, to support the growth plans into this region and the overall Bunker activity for the business.  

This business are already well established in the GCC region and have a strong reputation within the global energy sector. They are consistently delivering industry products at a high quality standard and pride themselves on offering the best service they can for their customers worldwide.

As Managing Director you will be expected to have an impressive portfolio and network based in Asia and more specifically in Bunkers. You will have had previous experience managing and building a team from scratch so that you are able to use this knowledge when developing this new set up. You will be required to start trading b2b business on your own with the outlook to build a team around you once profits are continuously flowing.

You will be supported by the Head of Bunkers from the Middle Eastern office, which means working together to create and achieve the best possible results from developing the perfect working environment, team, strategy and overall business model.

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following requirements;

  • Extensive experience in b2b Bunker Trading with additional experience working as a Physical Supply trader ideally in a Head of Bunkers/Director/Senior Leader role.  
  • Consistent experience working with all types of marine fuels, including lubricants.
  • An impressive portfolio of Asian based Suppliers/Ports and customers with proven PnL track record in this region.
  • Previous experience of developing a new office/team/location within Asia with another Bunker trading business.
  • Exceptional understanding of business development strategies, managing teams and overall bunker trading knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and leaderships skills
