Senior Surveyor (Classification Society) - Permanent - Cameroon – Competitive

Due to an increase in work orders, a leading Classification Society are recruiting for a Senior Marine Surveyor to be based in their office in Cameroon.

A key aspect to this role is to manage the office and small team of Surveyors day to day and frequent travel to other African countries will be required.

The remainder of your work will be to examine and report on vessels, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU’s), equipment and machinery, and other marine structures after construction according to SOLAS and MARPOL requirements and Company Rules.

The successful candidate will have a Degree (or equivalent) in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture and, ideally, have Seagoing experience, as well as experience working for a Classification Society as a Surveyor.

You will have experience surveying offshore as well as ships in service, in classification and be a qualified Auditor.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications

Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
