Shore Based Marine Engineer

Shore Based Marine Engineer – UK/Europe – Permanent – £20,000 – £30,000

A leading name in the marine industry is currently looking for a number of Shore Based Marine Engineers to join them. The successful candidates will be required to work in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands on a 2 week on 1 week off rota

Key Duties

• Assembly works, inspection and repairs on engines and gearboxes including, MTU, Volvo Penta, Twindisc and Servogear
• Carry out work both on the electrical and hydraulic systems of the vessel including steering machine, winches, HIAB/Guerra crane, windgrip system navigation, radio equipment and also heating systems including
  Kobola, Eberspacher and fanoil units.

Job requirements

• Marine Engineer or commercial vehicle experience
• Proactive, being able to perform the work that needs to be done independently
• Administrative skills
• Fluent in English – speech and writing
• Prepared to work flexible hours
• Able to handle materials and tools with care
• Driving license
• Forklift certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Willing to travel and work away from home
