Job Description as Coatings Foreman with Stork:
To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications. Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the work scope is completed safely and to a high standard. Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches.
Tasks and Responsibilities as Coatings Foreman:
- Responsible for the offshore delivery of Stork’s FM project, ensuring that the client’s specification requirements are met and Stork’s procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Delegate work instruction, lead toolbox talks and identify any potential hazards on upcoming tasks.
- Reports inefficiencies and promotes continual improvement initiatives.
- Highlight any anticipated issues and raise with peers.
- Create permits to work, ensuring all procedures are understood, risk assessments, COSH sheets are in place and technical data sheets are available prior to work commencing.
- Compile time sheets, first trip assessments and update progress trackers and other associated control/ logging systems.
- To ensure that all FM work scope complies with the client & Stork HSEQ procedures & policies, and completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment.
- Liaise with client and onshore support in daily calls / reports, update on scope progress, respond to queries and complete actions from onshore requests.
- Carry out QA/QC to ensure standards are in accordance with Stork procedures, client specifications, and coating requirements.
- Ensure all plant & equipment has been fully safety checked and function tested prior to use. Carry out daily safety checklist on the worksite and stop work if any aspect is unsatisfactory As a minimum no work shall commence until satisfied all of the above is in place
- To provide best practice solutions to integrity threats where there is a need for FM to be conducted. This includes investigating, analyzing and engineering solutions to problems faced.
- Any additional works will be agreed with both Stork & Client, a full FM survey should be completed accurately, and comprehensively, where all requirements / constraints / hold points / elements have been captured & identified, a recommended repair strategy has been determined, and estimated.
- Safe working – commitment to safe working practices ensuring that all work scopes are completed in a safe manner at all times.
- Reporting all accidents, incidents & near misses immediately.

Specific Requirements for Coatings Foreman:
Skills, Understanding & Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear instructions to the work party, and relay accurate information to key stakeholders.
- In-depth and diverse knowledge & understanding of fabric maintenance services e.g. PFP, Insulation & Coatings, and strong understanding of client specification requirements.
- Demonstrates REACH Beyond Zero values & behaviors, and promotes these within the offshore teams.
- Demonstrates effective leadership of offshore teams.
- Strong PC skills, working Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of Storks working practice and documentation procedures.
- Good Hazard Identification Skills
