Ship Manager – Cruise

I am working with a leading cruise line company who great growth over the years and have strong name in the industry. They are now seeking an experienced Ship Manager to join the team.

As Ship Manager you will monitor and control the smooth operation of all vessels assigned and handle the provision of the required technical support and maintenance, in order to achieve the desired levels of operational performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • To plan, manage and execute dockings and refits within budget
  • To manage day-to-day operations to maximise the availability of the marine fleet
  • To identify fleet requirements with respect to technical developments/upgrades
  • Act as communication link between vessels and senior management
  • Monitors vessel compliance with Class / Government Authorities
  • To support the Technical team in high risk and high value CAPEX project delivery and budget management

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  • Ideally Hold a Class 1 CoC, would also consider Class 2 CoC
  • Sailing experience as Chief Engineer on cruise vessels
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of ISM code and marine regulations
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of MS office
  • Similar experience in working ashore
