Marine Service Engineer – Home Based (Global Travel) – £32,000 – £35,000 + Overtime

A leading Engineering company is currently recruiting for a Service Engineer who will be home based but within a commutable distance to an airport to allow for international travel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with high customer care standards. The Service Engineer will provide field services, commissioning and maintenance of their marine products throughout UK and Internationally.

The main responsibilities will include site surveys and assessments, maintenance and repairs to company equipment, electrical and mechanical service and commissioning, and providing timely reports and accurate feedback to the Service Manager. You will be expected to be proactive and provide recommendations for improvements.

The Marine Service Engineer will to have a good general mechanical/electrical engineering background incorporating a basic understanding of electrical control systems.
Previous experience and product knowledge on board large vessels, ships etc is required. The role requires the applicant to have good communication a

nd team working skills as well as excellent problem solving ability and system understanding.
The position is field based with regular overseas travel. Candidates must be willing to work away from home for up to 4 – 6 weeks on some occasions.

Valid driving licence and passport are required.
