HSEQ Superintendent (Gas) – Permanent – London – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join an International shipping company based in London.

The purpose of this role is to provide guidance and support on the company management systems and safe operating practices monitoring compliance.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop safety awareness programs
• Reviewing the processes of near misses, accidents and incidents
• Interfacing with regulatory agencies; class & flag state administrations to manage compliance of the fleet
• Monitors vessel movements and provide guidance on security matters
• Perform Internal audits
• Review & reports on the effectiveness & relevance of the SMS, EMS, SOPEP
• Assist in the development of procedures & processes

Experience Required:

• Auditor accredited with ISM/ISO
• Seagoing experience as Deck or Engineering officer in a senior rank or Class society background
• Have experience with Tankers or Gas carriers
• Auditing experience
• Previous shore-based experience in HSE / QA position
• Must have right to live and work in the UK
