Technical Services Manager – Permanent – Dublin, Ireland – Excellent package

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding shipping company based in Dublin.

Reporting to the Technical Director you will responsible for the technical operation of assigned vessels; maintenance, dry-docking, budgetary and day to day reliability & efficiency of the vessel.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for preparing the technical team for new build and vessel takeovers
• Responsible for assigned projects planning, development and execution
• Ensure the efficient and economical technical performance of all ships assigned in compliance with all flag, class and international statutory requirements
• Prepare individual ship budgets & vessel expenditure
• Plan for repairs & dry-docking of assigned vessels
• Mentor junior superintendents and advise the directors to the training and professional development requirements

Experience Required:

• Hold a class one Chief Engineer CoC
• Have sailed in a senior rank at sea (Chief/2nd) for at least 2 years
• Experience sailing on / managing passenger ships; RoRo, RoPax, Ferries etc (preferred)
• Previous shore based experience within a ship management or ship owner
• Experience in a managerial position for at least 3-5 years
• Must have right to live and work in the EU
