Senior Technical Manager (Ferries) - Glasgow – Permanent - Excellent Package
A leading Ship Owner and Operator based near Glasgow is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Manager to join the busy team.
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, this position will lead the asset team responsible for the fleets major vessel overhauls.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Assisting the project team with modifications, upgrades and projects
- Vessel visits to enable planning for overhauls.
- In conjunction with the Asset Management Team, leading and assisting the planning, supervision and coordination function for the major vessel fleet overhauls.
- Establishing, budget, cost control and supervision of suppliers and contractors to ensure all work is carried out with the objective of achieving a fully reliable and operational vessel to the agreed specification.
- Acting as liaison between the company, contractors, classification society, and flag state on related overhaul works
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in planning and managing vessel overhauls and dry dockings. You will have sailed as Chief Engineer and preferably have experience with RoRo vessels.
You will be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in all aspects of projects and experience of budget planning and specification writing.
You will have a previous track record in a similar position ashore.

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
