Staff Chief Engineer (Cruise) – Worldwide

We are currently looking for a Staff Chief Engineer to join our clients Cruise Vessel.

The Role:

Supporting the Chief Engineer in the running of the engine department, the Staff Engineer supervises the day-to-day operations, related to all mechanical, electrical, electronic, environmental matters on board the ship and is actively participating in instructions and training of all the engine department officers and staff.

Hiring Requirements:
· Unlimited Chief Engineer License III/2
· Minimum of 1-year experience sailing as Staff Chief Engineer and/or Chief Engineer on large passenger vessels
· Good command of written and spoken English
· STCW Basic Training certificates, as well as Advanced Fire Fighting and Medical First Aid
· Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma from accredited maritime Academy or equivalent
· AMOS Maintenance, spare part and purchasing routines
· Knowledgeable with all relevant rules & regulations governing the marine industry. This includes but is not restricted to: SOLAS, MARPOL, DNV-GL, USCG, USPH, ILO, MLC, STCW, etc.
