Ship Repair Manager – Wales – Permanent – Circa £38,000 pa

A leading name in the Ship Repair market is currently looking for a ship repair manager to join their well-established company who specialise in ship repair and recycling.
Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring the pumphouse and workshops are in good order
• Ordering parts and materials for jobs around the yard
• Looking after setting up of the dock from supplied drawings and docking of the vessels, ensuring pumps are ready and the gate is good for floating
• Looking after vessels in drydock, delegating staff to carry out various jobs
• Being hands on to show staff if they are not clear on how things work
• Dealing with owner’s rep and ships staff on repairs set in their specification
• Arranging outside repairs
• Assisting in the costing of jobs
