Technical Superintendent – Cruise

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established cruise line company based in USA who due to growth are seeking a Technical Superintendent.

As Technical Superintendent you will monitor and control the smooth operation of all vessels assigned and handle the provision of the required technical support and maintenance, in order to achieve the desired levels of operational performance.

Responsibilities include:

• To plan, manage and execute docking and refits within budget
• To manage day-to-day operations to maximise the availability of the marine fleet
• To identify fleet requirements with respect to technical developments/upgrades
• Act as communication link between vessels and senior management
• You will make sure that the ships comply with Class, Flag State, SOLAS, USCG and Company’s SMS requirements.
• There will be travel with this position

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Ideally Hold a Class 1 CoC, would also consider Class 2 CoC
• You will have extensive experience in working with cruise vessels
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of SMS, Class society and be proficient with MS Office
• Strong skills in time management, handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
