Electrical Specialist (Classification Society) - Permanent - Aberdeen - Highly Competitive
A leading Classification Society is currently recruiting for an Electrical Specialist to join the team of experts in the Aberdeen office.
Working on a wide range of projects, the Electrical Specialists’ duties will include;
- Being involved in design appraisal of a wide-range of projects on both Greenfield and Brownfield sites.
- Working on a variety of projects carrying out compliance engineering activities for Verification, Classification and Certification.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the standards and techniques applicable for Electrical Equipment intended for safe use in explosive gas atmospheres and in the presence of combustible dusts.
The successful candidate will have a proven track-record in a similar role within the Maritime and/or Oil & Gas industries.
You will have experience of system design of Electric Propulsion schemes and the control of Electrical Power for propulsion purposes, experience of supervision of a team of engineers or designers and have expert knowledge in areas of Electrical Generation and Distribution at Technical Authority level.
The ideal individual will be self-motivated and be able to communicate with all seniorities – both internally and externally.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
